Firebirds series

This bas-relief is made of hand cut and sculpted paper. The composition is formed with many feather-shaped strips of cut paper in various sizes and colours. The natural white of rag paper, the ink blue paper and a paper with a shibori like pattern compose the bright colour palette. Different techniques were applied in the making, including hand-cut paper, cyanotype and collage.
