Firebirds series

Standing in a rectangular shape, the composition of this bright bas-relief is made of many feather-like shaped strips of papers, which are overlayed. The natural colour of the rag paper, burnt on the cut edges, the ink blue, and some touches of bright colours such as the blue of cyanotype, Turkish blue and green create a harmonious palette. Several techniques were used in the making of this artwork.
