Persimmons

The basic fabric – ikat – is a complex type of textile ideal for decorative purposes thanks to its texture that is reminiscent of a cut tree. Two of the three persimmons are made of various-sized beads covered by threads interwoven in a grid, it looks like the beads are trapped inside. This creates an illusion of volume. The leaves are made of ribbons, beads, and hand-woven tweed – interlaced yarn of different densities and colours.
