Magnolia

This embroidery is based on the illustration "Magnolia grandiflora" by the English artist Mary Delany. The piece is made using the Luneville hook. It depicts an open magnolia flower, with its off-white, pinkish and beige petals. Different textures of beads and sequins are combined here to create volume. The green sequined leaves cover the flower slightly.
