This piece depicts a peony flower, its petals are coloured in several shades of pink. The petals are mostly made of beads and sequins. The central part of the flower is made of feathers, it makes the flower look realistic, thanks to the lightness of its structure. The leaves are made with mouliné thread and the beads show experiments with light and shadows by using different green hues. This embroidery was inspired by the illustration by Pierre-Joseph Redoute.
