with Adelė Gančierė

Make a Lithuanian folk linocut print

Lithuanian folk cuttings are based on folk songs and tale motifs. Adelė Gančierė, an experienced wood and lino cutter, will teach participants how to use the traditional technique of printing to create a unique piece. She will discuss the motif of the print, explain the basic principles of composition and teach participants the printing technique. Everyone will print their work under the guidance of the artisan and become the owner of a personal print. Folk crafts can be contemporary. Children may take part if accompanied by an adult.
