Learn all about the ancient process of Shibori resist dyeing

In this 2-day workshop hosted by Katharine Gorham, you will gain an insight into the Japanese shibori process by manipulating, clamping, binding, folding and wrapping fabric to achieve beautiful and bold resist pattern variations. The artist shares her own samples with you to inspire you and help you explore the outcomes. Katharine will guide you through a range of techniques gained through her textile experience which can be used to create bold dramatic or subtle dyeing variations. As part of the 2-day course, the fabric pieces from the first day can be made into a quilted jacket or quilted bag in the second day. This experience costs 150 GBP per person.
