Woodturning course in Geneva

with Jérôme Blanc

Discover the joy of woodturning

Woodturning is an ancient woodworking technique that consists of using a wood lathe to cut a shape that is symmetrical around an axis. The wood lathe is a simple tool with which an endless variety of forms can be created. Jérôme Blanc holds initiation and advanced training courses in his professional workshop in the centre of Geneva. The experience is open to anyone wanting to acquire basic knowledge of woodturning. Participants can create their own object (such as candlesticks, a bowl or a cylindrical box) using techniques including turning between points, turning in the air, turning green wood, sharpening and finishing. Tools and materials are included in the price, and extensive documentation is available on site. Course dates available on request.
