Hardanger fiddle making course in Voss

Wiebke Lüders's workshop belongs to the Ole Bull Akademiet, a Norwegian music college. The goal of this private tuition is to build a fiddle from scratch. The length and structure of the lessons is agreed in advance with clients, and the price depends on the person's experience and skill level. During the course, every step of fiddle making is extensively explored. If the student has little experience of craftsmanship, the artisan can pre-make the most difficult parts of the instrument, like the outer shape of the top. The lessons must be booked in advance and are held in German, Norwegian or English.
