Weaving workshop in Sardinia

M/U hosts a one and a three-day international weaving workshop in Samugheo called LUNA. Participants will learn and practice traditional Sardinian techniques as well as visit the surrounding area to gain a key understanding of the different regional weaving languages. The aim of the workshop, usually held in August, is to provide participants with the basics for the design and manufacture of carpets and textiles. Courses are held in Italian and English. The day starts at 9:30 and lasts until 18:30 with a one hour break for lunch. Both the 1 day and 3 day option include a visit to the LUNA workshop, as well as a visit to MURATS the regional museum of Sardinian textile crafts. Prices vary depending on the number of particpants.
