Discover the studio of a Nordic weaver

Karin Carlander is a Danish contemporary weaver and textile artist. In her work she reinterprets traditional Nordic crafts and the use of textiles for practical everyday purposes. In 1988 Karin established her own studio, where she creates handwoven textiles and textile designs for several established companies, as well as her own brand Textile No. From her studio in Raadvad, north of Copenhagen, Karin develops her textile design on beautiful old wooden handlooms. The studio is the core of the artistic process. There is always room for serendipitous discoveries, that sometimes occur during work on the loom, which she is eager to share with visitors at her studio.
