Ceramicist Clara Rêgo proposes a workshop to explore the traditional Portuguese tile making art known as ajulejo. Participants will experience tile painting using prints or the traditional decal technique. They will also be able to experiment with a free-style painting exercise on another tile for a more contemporary take on this craft. Each participant will be able to make up to 8 tiles or 2 small panels. It will take about two days for the tiles to be ready after the drying and firing phases, after which they will be delivered or sent by post. Please note that this course costs 45 EUR per person.
