Spend a creative morning at Oficina Formiga, in the company of artisans Jorge Saraiva and his wife Milú, crafting your own vintage ceramic object using late 19th century techniques. The couple, who have been keeping their local craft alive since 1992, will firstly show you around their atelier while explaining the various production stages involved. Participants are then invited to select a traditional design for their piece, then open the corresponding stencil and experience painting and glazing it. As the firing stage takes place later there will be a moment of suspense before the final object is discovered – and then delivered to the participant's address.
