This course covers the basics of using a pottery throwing wheel. Toni De Jesus will introduce you to wedging, centering, opening and pulling walls. He will also teach you how to shape vessels by looking at cylinders, bowls and closed forms. There is the option of a 2-hour session at 50 GBP, 4-hour session at 90 GBP or 6-hour session at 120 GBP. The 4 and 6-hour sessions can be spread over two days. In longer sessions, Toni will look into trimming your work and turning foot rings. At the end of each session, you can choose your favourite piece, which Toni will glaze and fire for you. Price includes clay, firing, and glazing.
