Puppet making demonstration in Palermo

Salvatore Bumbello is very passionate about his craft and he likes to explain to small groups of people the history and secrets of this fascinating form of folk art. But this isn’t only a theoretical course: while he explains the origins of the famous Pupi in Sicily, he also gives a practical demonstration of his art. He creates a little shield with the embossing technique in front of participants, and makes a short live show with his puppets. He shows participants how to move them with the hands, how to make them play the piano or even fight a battle.
