Lampwork workshop: Become a perlera for a day!

Become perlera for a day! is a workshop held by the talented craftswoman Simona Iacovazzi in her atelier and shop Perlamadre, located in Dorsoduro, where she creates her original Murano glass beads and jewels. In one hour and a half, Simona makes participants experience Murano glass lampworking. After recounting the history of the famous Venetian beads, Simona teaches some traditional techniques and shows how to work on the aesthetic potential hidden in glass. During the workshop every participant learns how to make their own first bead, directly with fire. The small jewel will then be sent to their home.
