Japanese carpentry course

with Jean Baptiste Van den Heede

Discover the Japanese approach to woodworking

This course is aimed at all those interested in learning how to work wood with oriental tools: famous Japanese saws, special chisels, Japanese brushes and other tools, such as sharpening stones. Jean Baptiste will also share the oriental philosophy of work and how it brings the student to connect with wood, with respect and humility. Students will work the wood and study typical oriental assemblies that can be used in carpentry and joinery. A small piece of furniture will be made, such as a box.
