Glass manufacturer visit in Venice
With Nason Moretti
Behind the scenes of glassmaking
NasonMoretti offers visitors a guided tour to experience the craft of glassmaking in its historic workshop, founded in 1923. The tour highlights the manufacturer's classic models preserved in its own museum, including pieces that have been exhibited at MoMA, the Triennale di Milano and the Venice Biennale. Visitors will learn about the production cycle, beginning with the precise mixing of silica, oxides and metals that defines NasonMoretti's vibrant palette. In the furnace room, master artisans and apprentices can be seen shaping molten glass using techniques passed down through generations, followed by stages of cutting, grinding and hand finishing. The experience concludes as a complete immersion into the full glassmaking cycle, offering a comprehensive view of the entire process, from raw materials to finished glass creations.
