At Libri Finti Clandestini, paper is given a second life, as it is bound by hand into notebooks, sketchbooks, hardcovers and pop-up books. The atelier's three founders met as students during an Erasmus exchange programme. They discovered their shared passion for and interest in books, publishing, graphic design and the upcycling of existing materials. At Libri Finti Clandestini, the trio aims to create something useful, well-made and original, through experimentation, craftsmanship, ingenuity and care for the planet.

Libri Finti Clandestini sources the kind of paper most people would consider rubbish from printing workshops, abandoned factories around Europe, warehouses, libraries and friends’ homes. Its founders collaborate with artists and graphic designers, and have participated in international book fairs, artist residencies and the XV Venice Architecture Biennale. Libri Finti Clandestini, also known as LFC, has a loyal community of followers and collectors who understand the value of books as the focus of a unique artistic journey.
