1882 Ltd. is a design driven ceramics workshop operating in Stoke-on-Trent and formed by fourth and fifth generations of the Johnson Brothers family. At the core of 1882 Ltd. is progressive design and industrial craftsmanship. They produce a combination of everyday objects and special art pieces that highlight the centuries of industrial heritage skills that reside at the heart of the British ceramics industry. Their ceramics are to be used, loved and desired, be it dining, decorative objects or art pieces.
Each collection has a different spirit, always staying true to 1882 Ltd.’s core beliefs. There is great craftsmanship in their work, combining a focus on process as well as on design.
