A century of majolica creations
Ceramica Gatti 1928 is the oldest majolica earthenware manufacturer in Faenza, based in its original premises which now houses a museum. Founded by Riccardo Gatti in 1928, the workshop was passed down to his nephew, and subsequently to his nephew's children, Davide and Marta Servadei. Today, they manage the manufacturer alongside Riccardo, representing the fourth generation of the family, and a team of around ten collaborators.
Every piece produced at Ceramica Gatti 1928 is handmade and hand painted using century-old techniques. This results in creations that carry the workshop’s signature traits: gold, iridescence and reflections. Drawing inspiration from Renaissance workshops, where artisans shared their collective knowledge, Ceramica Gatti 1928 maintains a well-established tradition of collaborating with designers, artists, architects and brands. The manufacturer preserves its historic roots while reinterpreting its heritage with contemporary flair.
