Watercolours made by artists for artists

From Brera to Soho, art lovers around the globe will come across the watercolours of A.Gallo Colors in the best art supply shops. Founded in 2017 by artist Alina Gallo and her husband Giuliano Matteucci, the workshop is based in Assisi. A.Gallo Colors makes watercolours crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, Arabic gum from the acacia tree, local honey from Umbria and rosemary essential oil. The atelier draws inspiration from the rich history of pigments used by artists and a deep passion for cross-cultural manuscript painting techniques.

All batches of paint are made from premium pigments and hand poured into pans, free of any chemical components. This intensive process creates a pigmented, luminous, and pure paint that activates beautifully when wet. Each watercolour palette is handmade, individually wrapped, accompanied by a high-quality Tintoretto brush, packaged by hand with original marbled paper and presented in an elegant gift box. The commitment to quality and tradition ensures that each of the A.Gallo Colors watercolour sets is not just a tool for painting, but a piece of art in itself.
