Claire Royer organises 2-day weekend workshops in her studio for those interested in discovering the sensations of throwing clay. The dates of this 11-hour course are pre-defined and up to 5 people can register. Claire also offers relaxation moments around tea and homemade pastries. Each person has access to a potter’s lathe, white sandstone, tools and Claire’s individual guidance. Day 1 revolves around teaching the basic gestures at the potter’s wheel by making simple bowl and cylindrical shapes as well as recycling pieces and clay. Day 2 continues with the turning of pieces and learning some finishing techniques if the drying process permits.
