06/09/2026 | 09/09/2026Exhibited in AN ATELIER ALIVE

Uzbek artist Madina Kasimbaeva specialises in suzani, the traditional art of creating large decorative textiles through hand embroidery. Drawing on regional patterns and techniques, her practice preserves this longstanding Uzbek tradition while also applying it to contemporary garments and accessories. During the live demonstration at Homo Faber 2026, Madina will embroider traditional motifs using colourful threads, allowing visitors to observe firsthand the patience and precision required to create these richly decorated textiles.
