Enduring excellence in shoemaking

Since its beginnings in 1894, Massaro has continued to preserve its excellence and know-how in women's shoemaking. A family company, the mastered skills were transmitted from father to son until 2019, the year Raymond Massaro, the grandson, passed away. The story of Massaro is highlighted by the creation of the two-coloured shoe designed by Gabrielle Chanel. In beige leather, with a black toe and square heel, its original graphic lines were imagined to elongate the leg. The elegance of the design was an instant success and soon became a reference.

Since then, Massaro's collaborations with CHANEL have never ceased. With each passing collection, the shoemaker's exceptional savoir-faire translates faithfully the creative and innovative vision of the fashion house's design studios. Massaro’s team of experienced craftspeople, each a master of a specific skill, brings to life the creations of haute couture, men’s and women’s made-to-measure, and orthopaedic collections. The Parisian workshop is one of the last women's shoemaker ateliers specialising in the creation of entirely made-to-measure shoes.
