The tailoring house Cifonelli was born in Rome in 1880 and established itself in Paris in 1926, where it has become a flagship of bespoke tailoring. Today, the fourth generation of master tailors, Massimo and Lorenzo Cifonelli, are at the helm of the bespoke atelier of more than 40 expert artisans. Having opened a luxury store with made to measure and ready to wear tailoring, the Cifonelli cousins still carry on their family tradition.
As it takes more than 80 hours to tailor a bespoke suit, many tailors work together to craft a few hundred exclusive bespoke suits during the course of a year. Every stitch is made by hand and every suit is uniquely created to suit the client. Cifonelli is renowned for their fine details and their craftsmanship is exemplified in their famous shoulder construction. The refined line of the shoulder was complimented by legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld.
