Born into a family of cabinetmakers in Alsace, David Seltz grew up among wood shavings and workshop tools, learning the craft from his father and grandfathers. "After decades of working at the family furniture company, I decided to pursue a more personal path as an independent artisan," he says. David creates furniture exclusively in solid wood, selecting each trunk himself from local forests, orchards and sawmills. Oak, ash, walnut, cherry and maple transform into pieces defined by careful proportions and restrained elegance. David seeks a timeless language of form where material, craft and simplicity meet. His furniture is made to endure for generations, carrying the story of the tree and the region it came from.
