This carousel by SHED was built with three principal rotating levels set on an integral pedestal. It combines teakwood, rosewood, brass, stainless steel, aluminium, Indian sandstone, marble mosaics and coloured glass. Imagining the city as a layered world rising from the sea, the piece brings together fishing boats, traffic and street life beneath a skyline of towers and civic buildings. Its rotating tiers evoke the ceaseless movement of Mumbai.
