This piece was created during Homo Faber Fellowship 2024/25. Made from wenge and white oak, it features two tambour doors and four drawers, set on a base with finely turned legs. Inspired by 600 BCE Cypriot ceramics, the patterns were made from solid wood using an end-grain mosaic technique. Fellow Natali Touloupou designed the patterns and created the embroidery piece, while Sahand & Navid Gholipour constructed the cabinet.
Homo Faber Finds is a new service aiming to inspire admirers of craft to connect and collaborate with exceptional artisans.
