This sculpture by Christine Joy was crafted from fresh willow, each stick added one by one from the base upward and outward. Colour was added as the structure developed. Beginning with a single stick, which acts as the foundational seed from which the entire form evolves, the artwork can be seen as a metaphor for movement, growth and change in nature.
