This sculpture by Tetsuya Nagata was crafted from washi paper tracings made on wooden moulds once used to make traditional Japanese sweets. The individual forms were arranged to build the final composition. Centred on the long-live shrimp, the work reflects the artist's practice of using washi to capture the tangible surface of objects and express the memories and images they hold.
