Unda; Virea

These vases by Onofrio Acone were coil built from ceramic, with textured surfaces retaining the spontaneous marks of the making process. Unda draws inspiration from the rhythmic motion of the sea and the light of the Amalfi Coast. Waves, dotted patterns and layered brushstrokes recall tides and marine vibrations. Virea echoes the movement of Mediterranean water and wind. Turquoise lines, milky white surfaces and dark accents evoke rippling waves, reflected light and sea spray.
