This tabletop sculpture in lathe-turned wood is transformed to create the illusion of woven basketry. Inspired by Southwestern Native American burden-basket traditions, the piece was conceived as a mother–daughter legacy work. Entirely handmade, it is wood burned, coloured and finished with multiple coats of lacquer.
