K-O-TAY

This one-of-a-kind tabletop sculpture in lathe-turned wood is reimagined to create the illusion of basketry. Inspired by Southwestern Native American burden-basket traditions, the lidded form is wood burned, coloured and carved both inside and out. Entirely handmade, it is signed and finished with multiple coats of lacquer.
