Exhibited in A ROOTED ASCENT
Rattan, Driftwood
This sculpture by Shannon Lucas Westrum was woven from a single strand of rattan reed, connecting hardwood dowels and pieces of driftwood collected over several years. Bringing together fragments gathered by the artist's family during fleeting moments by the water, the work reflects on the ups and downs, the pauses and the new beginnings of life.
