This is a sculptural work made of traditional Korean mulberry paper, Hanji. Numerous small fibre elements are hand formed and assembled to create a vertical structure resembling a tree. The layered white surface evokes the ridges of mountain ranges. The work transforms a landscape motif from the Hyunjoo Kim's earlier Polar series into a 3D fibre structure.
