This bulbous jar was fired at the front of a large wood-burning salt-glaze kiln during its 100th firing, with dappled drips formed by molten wood ashes which had accumulated during the three day process. Typical of pots fired in Southern groundhog kiln, this aesthetic mirrors wares produced in Asian anagama kilns.
