Domed sentinel

Inspired by traditional Southern pottery grave markers, this sentinel vessel has a brooding, perforated dome attached to an elegantly curved and striped body. Ash glazed and ornamented with wild streaks of melted windowpane glass, it echoes old Catawba Valley alkaline-glazed ware as well as North Carolina-born John Coltrane’s sheets of sound.
