This sculptural study extends the concerns of Gaby Mlynarczyk's works Auka and Joro, it draws on the Mexico City project that transformed discarded diapers into oyster mushrooms, embracing cycles of renewal and transformation. In the spirit of kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer and powdered metal, this work celebrates the salvaged sum of its parts by elevating them with copper lustre, underscoring the beauty and resilience of materials once considered waste.
