Distended, 2023

Distended is a series of three wall-hung pieces. The pieces are heavy and dense with an upper part, which is light, transparent and gossamer. The heavier part is yellow in a variety of textures. The contrast between the voluminous weight and the threadlike top creates a friction, which is enhanced by the imprint of shadow and light. The series was originally created for the exhibition Kæde at Johannes Larsen Museum in Kerteminde, Denmark in 2023.
