Matchbox

Made from English oak and ash, this small handcrafted box is designed to hold precious objects such as jewellery or watches. Its compact, rectangular form recalls the shape of a matchbox, while the natural contrast between the dark oak exterior and pale ash interior highlights the beauty of the woods. Finished with a traditional Japanese kanna hand plane, the surface is left smooth without sandpaper, giving the box a refined, tactile quality.
