Celestial Orbit

Crafted from English burr oak, this dining collection features an elliptical table supported by a solid, sculptural pedestal. It is accompanied by four Man Alive chairs and an inclined arching bench that follows the table’s contours. The surfaces are finished with a traditional Japanese kanna hand plane, which shaves the wood to a smoothness that requires no sandpaper. This technique preserves the crisp character of the grain, allowing the burr oak’s natural patterns to radiate like a solar motif.
