These objects of small containers conceptually use the iconic motif of the house to explore Bic Tieu’s multiple cultural identity in relation to Australia as her home. Through surface language design and architectural references, the use of sterling silver, gold plate, Asian lacquer and shell inlay reflects these geographies.
