Kangaroo Paws

This series of brooches is constructed from layers of the Australian kangaroo paw flower motif, laser cut and hand painted in red Japanese lacquer, with the fourth brooch cast in sterling silver. Each has been reimagined as a hand, an act of metaphorical touching of various cultural spaces within Bic Tieu’s Australian identity.
