COR #901 folded organic form

This sphere-like sculptural vessel is made using marbled stoneware clay. A large-scale vessel, its organic, bulging form spirals upwards from a narrow base revealing a textured, patterned surface achieved using collage-like press-moulded and slab-building techniques. Glazing as well as multiple oxidation firing processes give it a dark and light brown, black and green colour.
