The Clown (Gluttony)

This is a clown glove puppet that was hand carved in lime wood with hand sewn fabrics. It is one of seven puppets representing the seven deadly sins, and was made in honour of the traditional British puppet institution Punch and Judy. The make-up design was inspired by queer fashion designer Leigh Bowery presenting gluttony rather as exuberant abundance.
