Each plate of this series is made using the technique of glass fusion with murrine Murano glass bars. Sections of glass of different colours are placed cold on a ceramic fibre plate and fused in an electric furnace to obtain a layer of multicoloured vitreous surface called mosaic glass or murrine glass. Each piece is hand polished to finish. The plates represent the traditional July fireworks for the Venetian Redentore festivity.
