Fish Glass series

This collection of colourful sculptures represents stylized fish in black and lively colours on independent supports. They are made using the technique of glass fusion with murrine Murano glass bars. Sections of glass of different colours are placed cold on a ceramic fibre plate and fused in an electric furnace to obtain a layer of multicoloured vitreous surface called mosaic glass or murrine glass. Each piece is then worked, hand polished and sanded.
