Turquoise irises and fern plate

The garden flowers inspired the design on this flat, organically shaped stoneware plate, made using the slab technique. The ferns and turquoise irises were painted freehand with under-glazes. The transparent glaze adds shine, and the leather-coloured rim frames the plate like a picture.
