Dark blue magnolias plate

This deep plate was crafted using the slab technique. The dark blue floral painting is inspired by a lush magnolia. It was painted freehand with a brush using under-glazes. The transparent glaze adds depth to the painting, and the dark blue rim makes the plate look like a framed picture.
